This beer is as dark as Darth Vader and the can design taps into that. A starry, matte black background is scattered with stars. The details in the Death Star and Tie Fighters, as well as the words, are all in a metallic silver, overlayed with shadows and a green glow from the laser. I changed the logo for this can to neon lines to match the lasers.
Hoth is a vast, desolate ice planet so the background of the label is a icy blue and white sky that feels very distant and expansive. The speeder ship wraps around the can the same way it wraps around the legs of the giant AT-AT walkers to take them down. The metallic silver shines through the text to pop and drive home the cold and industrial feeling of Hoth's base.
Endor is a beautiful planet with endearing creatures. If there wasn't a war going on, it would be peaceful and warm. I wanted to capture that feeling with golden light pouring through the tall trees. The background artwork is painterly and resembles illustration boards for the movie. The text runs vertically to accentuate the vertical lines of the trees and their height. The logo and main text are gold metallic to highlight that golden hour feeling even more.
Kamino is a dark and stormy planet, almost completely made up of water. I wanted to make the can feel extra cold by making the sea image a darker blue. To bring the feeling of rain into 3-Dimensional space, diagonal raindrops are printed with a spot gloss to pop off of the satin-matte can. The cloners have their base on Kamino, which is a surreal, bright white facility, so I chose to make the main text a glossy white, written in a futuristic typeface.
